After having completed a commercial apprenticeship and graduated in business administration, I started working in various (management)-positions in Sales and Procurement/SCM in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
Futhermore I added a degree in SCM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management - APICS) and since 2004 I have been supporting clients from all industries as a consultant and interim manager.
My areas of activity include companies of all sizes, from Freelancers to international corporations with a corresponding matrix structure. My experiences cover all company levels, from being a Purchaser of raw materials to working as CPO and leading a global purchasing organization. Development and integration of Procurement / SCM functions in a company structure in cooperation with all interfacing functions connected with optimized processes is important for me.
On the one hand, my role is that of the leader, who heads a team and supports it in a goal-oriented manner while questioning the organizational structures and processes and examining them from different perspectives before working out solutions together with the team, On the other hand, based on my hands-on mentality, I usually take over essential tasks to enable the implementation of the project task on time.
Furthermore, I am pleased to provide operational support for topics such as operational or strategic purchasing of "directs" and "indirects" or sourcing and qualification of potential suppliers, as well as I assist the usage of tools to optimize the purchasing results and visibility of Procurement in the company (KPI).
